I have been doing online school for a year now, and I love it! After getting my first degree in college, I decided to switch to an online university. Since so many individuals today are doing school via the online route, I thought I’d share with you my essential items for online school.

Laptop & Accessories
I have both the MacBook Air and the HP Envy, and they are amazing for online school.
My first laptop was the HP Envy. This is the laptop I used for online school for almost a full year, and works great! I’ve had my laptop for over a year now, I use it every single day and it still runs as smoothly as the day I bought it. The HP Envy is touchscreen, and can easily be flipped into a tablet. The tablet pen works great and can definitely make using the tablet feature easier.
I also own and use my MacBookAir for school. I recently got the latest edition of the MacBook air, it has Retina display and touchID. To go with my MacBook, I use the Magic Mouse 2. The mouse is very easy to use!
In my onion, these have to be the best laptops on the market right now, and they both work so incredibly well!
The Jelly Comb mouse is the same one I use with my HP Envy, and it has given me no issues. I could not find the same exact laptop case I use but this one is close enough. I like the cases with a strap. The strap just makes it a little easier when carrying your laptop around. I definitely recommend buying a case for your laptop. The case will make it easy to organize all your laptop accessories and cords, and also protect your laptop from scratches it may get if you are carrying it around and bringing it to places.
DESK SPACE
Having good desk space is important for your productivity. My fiance uses an L shape desk and I wish I had gotten the same desk as him since I am always in need of more desk space. With online school, you are in one seat and space for long periods of time. So it’s important to buy good quality chairs to give your back support. Since you will be sitting and working from the same chair, it is important that the chair be comfortable. I would recommend investing in a good quality desk chair.
IPAD & ACCESSORIES
I do online school on both my laptops and iPad. It honestly just depends. I use the iPad if I am doing school on the go. The iPad is a bit easier to bring for traveling. For instance, I’ve worked on school assignments while traveling in Mexico numerous times. A few times I just brought my iPad, and it worked out great!
HEADPHONES & EARPHONES
If you live with others, I recommend getting a good pair of headphones! I prefer headphones over earphones but both of these are great. These are important and will help you a lot.
WRITING SUPPLIES
These are the school supplies I use from Amazon. I love getting cute pens and pencils, I noticed when I have cute pens and pencils around I’m more inclined to write. In my opinion, Amazon sells the best notepads. I go through so many of these notepads, they’re my favorite to write in. I’m left-handed, and I have a hard time writing in normal notebooks and journals because the spine of the book is usually in my way. With these, I can quickly write and continue to write with no interruption. They are easy to tear and you get so many of them, its a great deal! I would recommend getting a filing system for your classes. Even though all the work is online, I still work best at times by writing my assignments first and then typing them. I also like to keep track of certain assignments and dates. I like to create a file for each class, it just helps me to stay more organized.
PLANNERS
Being organized is very important. I am always updating my planner since it helps me to stay organized for school. I have used the Blue Sky planner before and it’s great! I recently have gotten into bullet journaling. These are all the materials I use to keep my journal organized.
DESK ORGANIZATION
I like to organize my desk and keep everything minimal and visually appealing. It just helps me to stay focused and stress-free. I have a dry erase board so I can write down what I need to do each day. I also like to keep my phone on a stand so it is out of my way and in a spot where I can easily find it.
COMFORT
I like to feel cozy and relaxed when working online. It helps me stay focused and continue working on assignments. For me, I love to keep a foot-massager and fuzzy slippers under my desk. I love oil diffusers. My favorite scents have to be lavender or eucalyptus. I recently got a pair of blue light blocking glasses, these ones come in a two-pack.
HEALTH
I like to keep a yoga mat near my desk. On breaks, I’ll get up and do some stretching to release the tension on my back from sitting all day. I also keep a full bottle of water near me and some snacks in case I get hungry. I like to keep all of these at my desk so I do not need to get up and go make food, I can just take a small break and go right back to work.
